Kampala – Graduates of Datamine Technical Business School-Makerere have been advised to combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills to achieve their goals and increase their employability.

This advice was given by Deo Ssemwogerere, President of the Uganda Association of Private Vocational Institutions (UGAPRIVI), at the institution’s 10th graduation ceremony, where over 250 students graduated in various fields, including journalism and media studies, fashion and design, and tailoring among others.

“The skills you have acquired are in high demand in this country, and I have no doubt that they will serve as a foundation for your success,” Ssemwogerere said.

Ssemwogerere emphasized that the skills acquired by the graduates are in high demand in the country and will help them succeed in their careers. He also encouraged them to be hardworking and respect their parents, citing this as a key pillar of success.

Sylvia Nambalirwa, a member of the governing council, encouraged graduates to pursue further studies and build on the knowledge they have gained.
