Wakiso- Police have arrested a Catholic priest, Dominic Alinga, in connection with the murder of John Bosco Ngolok, a 30-year-old employee of the Uganda Revenue Authority’s (URA) domestic tax department.

Ngolok was found stabbed in the neck and head along the road from Kitooro to Entebbe International Airport on August 3rd, 2024.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

According to Rusoke Kituuma, police spokesperson Alinga, who serves at the Catholic parish church of Irir in Nakapilipilit, was identified as the key suspect following a thorough investigation.

It was established that the suspect had been suspended from the church by the bishop on allegations of stealing offertory worth 6 million shillings.

Police confirmed that investigations are underway into Alinga’s connections to the murder.

“Investigations into Alinga’s connections to the murder are ongoing, and upon completion, he will be arraigned in court if the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) deems it necessary,” said Kituuma
