Kampala – TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda has launched its first public Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Solution at Wampewo Service Station, marking a significant milestone in its journey towards a sustainable future.
In collaboration with Green Hub, an e-mobility company passionate about empowering women, TotalEnergies demonstrates its dedication to energy transition and carbon neutrality by 2050.
The charging point supports the growing number of electric bikes in Uganda, including Green Hub’s initial 26 electric bikes.
TotalEnergies has contributed $5,000 to support female riders’ acquisition of electric bikes and donated 400 helmets. This partnership is part of a larger consortium including MTN, Centenary Bank, and the Danish Embassy.
Speaking at the launch, Stephen Kaboyo the Chairman of TotalEnergies Marketing Uganda said, “TotalEnergies is proud to introduce this first public EV charging Solution on its service station network, a true symbol of the commitment to promoting renewable and carbonised energies,”

Green Hub, founded in 2023, provides comprehensive e-mobility solutions, empowers young women through training, and offers affordable financing. The company boasts a 100% female fleet, championing gender equality and sustainability.
TotalEnergies, with over 200 stations in Uganda since 1955, remains committed to transforming its products and services to meet growing energy needs. The company plans to roll out additional charging points across its network.
