The Uganda One Festival kicked off today at Kololo Independence Grounds, uniting creatives from across the country.
Organized by SBL Media in partnership with the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS), and other stakeholders, the festival showcases Uganda’s rich heritage through art, music, and culture.
Solomon Aboda alias Badman Solo, National Organising Committee Chairperson, highlighted the involvement of creatives from all regions, including music, performing arts, film, software, and cultural heritage.

The festival features top artists like Cindy Sanyu, Viper Ranking, and Coco Finger, as well as traditional dancers from Western Uganda, Busoga, and Northern Uganda.
The event has attracted international attention, with visitors from Kenya, Congo, and South Sudan, showcasing Uganda’s rich culture to the world.
With over 50 musicians and various cultural groups, the event promotes unity and celebrates Uganda’s diversity. The Uganda One Festival is expected to boost the economy, contributing over Shs2 trillion annually.
